Install Android .APK file on Windows with Android Virtual Device

APK is Android application package file which you use to install Android application to your mobile. But when you want to test the application on Windows, this tip maybe useful for you.



  • Start your emulator first: Launch AVD manager and start a AVD. Waiting for it start completely.






  • Run Windows Command Promt: Start > Run > cmd.


  • Install your APK file with this command line: "" -s emulator- install -r ""

     


My example:





"C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\adb.exe" -s emulator-5554 install -r "C:\helloworld.apk"
