Recommend dimensions for Facebook profile picture and cover photo

When you create your Facebook account or new Facebook page, you should choose two photos to set profile picture and cover photo for it. However, to have a beautiful Facebook timeline, you will need choose photos beyond on this recommend dimensions:

Facebook profile picture:

Displays at 160x160 px on your Page on computers, 140x140 px on smartphones and 50x50 px on most feature phones
At least 180x180 px
Is located 16px from the left and 176px from the top of your cover photo on computers
Is located 24px from the left, 24px from the bottom and 196px from the top of your cover photo on smartphones

Facebook cover photo:

Displays at 851px wide by 315px tall on your Page on computers and 640px wide by 360px tall on smartphones
Doesn't display on feature phones
At least 399x150 px
Loads fastest as an sRGB JPG file that's 851px wide, 315px tall and less than 100 KB

Notes: For profile pictures and cover photos with your logo or text, you may get a higher quality result by using a PNG file.
